Seeking Joy

Have you ever received a really cool gift for your birthday and put it away on the shelf promising yourself to use it soon? Maybe you use it once a year or forget it’s there all together! When you think of it though, you remember how great a gift it was, just not practical to use everyday.

As a Christian, the Holy Spirit lives in you. One gift of the Holy Spirit, as said in Galatians 5:22, is Joy. Through the trials and tribulations of life it may feel like the gift of joy is up in the attic collecting dust or forgotten about on the bottom shelf.

The Lord calls us to be joyful and to rejoice always. If you feel that your joy has been forgotten about, seek the joy of the Lord Himself and His word says it will be given to you.
