Joy Comes From The Lord

We are all looking for joy. It is a desired commodity. We search high

and low but often it is very fleeting. We buy the great outfit, eat at the

restaurant, buy the car, etc. but eventually that feeling disappears. It

really doesn’t seem logical- I still have the item; status; vacation

memories etc, why do I not stay happy? It is because happiness

comes from the world and it is fleeting, BUT- joy comes from the Lord.

We are usually searching in the wrong place for the wrong thing. Stop

looking to the world to bring you happiness- it does not linger. Instead

look to the Lord for His joy. You receive joy from the Holy Spirit, not

form the world. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. Most of us are picking fruit

form the wrong tree. If you want lasting joy you need to turn to the

Lord and choose fruit from His tree! It is a joy that surpasses

understanding!
