Gentleness Part 3/7

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30

Are you feeling weary? 2026 has already brought a lot and many, including myself are feeling a heaviness. The ice and snowstorms we recently encountered multiplied the weariness. When common necessities such as warmth, lights and charged batteries are no longer accessible, everyday functioning is a chore. When the burdens feel unbearable Jesus reminds us he will take the load from our shoulders and place them on his shoulders. We will find a gentleness in him. As the world becomes increasingly rough, Jesus is offering gentleness. The invitation is open to all.
